WhatsApp beta for Android 2.17.265: as announced, WhatsApp now supports PiP for video calls on Android O (8.0)!— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) July 19, 2017

In the Status tab in the application, above the camera icon, a pencil like icon will appear, it will allow us to write what we want(Text status). It also includes the default Whatsapp emoticons which will be visible for only 24 hours.
However, it is a feature quite simple in this new version, as the marvelous thing comes to the support for video calls with Android Oreo mode: Picture in Picture (PIP). In this way, we can do any other things while we are in a video call by simply activating PIP mode. As you know, the PIP mode works with a floating window, here it will be the same with the video call and, we can change the position as many times as we want and can thus carry out other tasks. For now, you can only enjoy this update in Android Oreo. But the new status update feature available for almost all the platform.
