If you have the money, you should spend it but what the better way to spend it? Is it right to spend it all on a fancy number plate for your car? And by fancy I mean single-digit-fancy. Well, a Jaipur man seems to agree with us on this. He has just spent Rs 16 lakh for a number plate for his Jaguar XJ L which worth Rs 1.5 crore.
According to the transport department, Rs 16 lakh is the highest anyone has ever paid for a registration number for a car.

The man name is Rrahul Taneja, he is a 37-year old businessman, who runs his own Event Management Company. His obsession with the number ‘1' started long back in 1996 when he bought his first second-hand scooter with the number ‘RJ 14 23M 2323', the numbers of which add up to 1 (2+3+2+3 =10; 1+0 = 1).
This is not the first time he has spent big money on a number plate. Back in 2011, he spent Rs 10 lakh on another ‘0001’ number plate for his BMW 5-Series. He also bought a used car just because it had ‘0001’ number plate!
